My Daily Driver Desktop is Void, not Devuan, so I lack standing to make
Devuan recommendations.

I never use the Gnome desktop environment for two reasons:

1) Since 2014 it has depended to a greater or lesser extent on systemd.

2) The few times I tried it, it slowed my workflow substantially. If I
wanted a Windows 11 user interface, I'd buy Windows 11.

I use some Gnome components such as their terminal.
