Have you tried booting the live image? I've just written that to an USB
stick and it shows up as both a 'legacy boot' and a UEFI boot device in
the boot menu of my computer (I'm using 'legacy boot' because it can
boot the system and that's good enough for me). This is also consistent
with the fdisk output:

[rw@doppelsaurus]~#sudo fdisk -l /dev/sdc
Disk /dev/sdc: 14.46 GiB, 15525216256 bytes, 30322688 sectors
Disk model: v212w
Units: sectors of 1 * 512 = 512 bytes
Sector size (logical/physical): 512 bytes / 512 bytes
I/O size (minimum/optimal): 512 bytes / 512 bytes
Disklabel type: dos
Disk identifier: 0x40337848

Device Boot Start End Sectors Size Id Type
/dev/sdc1 * 64 2361695 2361632 1.1G 0 Empty
/dev/sdc2 556 3435 2880 1.4M ef EFI (FAT-12/16/32)

and the output of file (the command) when used with the downloaded image
file.
