Hmmm . . .

Is this an olive branch? Or a trojan on the path to some sort of
"embrace, extend, extinguish" assimilation. Or is it a simple lack of
awareness of the major differences that make Devuan a bit more than a
derivative. The fact that there is a link to MXLinux points to some
confusion but perhaps could just be an editing error if this offer was
also being presented to other "derivatives". >>>In any case, the mention
of MXLinux in association with Devuan needs to be clarified asap.<<<

Other thoughts . . . there would perhaps be an advantage of higher
visibility but a disadvantage of being in Debian's "galaxy" (pun
intended). Careful attention to the fine print is in order. We would
need to know that the relationship is not locked in without an exit
plan. I just had a quick look at the wiki links below and find them
pretty overwhelming and unsurprisingly, Debian-centric. Do we have the
(wo)man power to deal with all that bureaucratic nonsense? As I scanned
those pages, I felt the noose tightening . . .

Unfortunately, I really don't have the brain space to take on monitoring
this issue. After my past dealings with Debian, I am skeptical that this
would be in Devuan's best interest.
