Any non-nvidia card would be a huge improvement. There's a reason Linux
gave the finger to nvidia: They don't open-source their drivers, so we
have to make due with reengineering. nvidia video cards are known to
cause hardware level freezes and spontaneous reboots.
I've had great luck with a Radeon, on a computer that froze with nvidea.
