I use Syncthing (which may depend if you want to keep phone and desktop in sync or just upload one way).

And FolderPlus (one way). Although this involves setting up a webdav folder at the non-phone end, so best for an always-on server.

They both work for me on Android phone and Devuan, although I have Google Play not F-Droid so can't comment on that.
