Oddly, even though it says that it's disabled is working.  Now I just
need to figure out how to get them to start in the background. I started
pipewire and wireplumber. I started a video and I have sound. go figure.
alsa mixer gives me a volume. not sure that it's running in stereo,
though. I'll figure that out.
