(1) When working, applied intereactively by a shell function,
this copies MailMessages and other files into /home/root/Backup.
    ...
    source="/home/root/AY";
    destination=/home/root/Backup;
    rsync \
    --exclude='*.mp3' \
    --exclude= ...
    -auv $source/* $destination ;

(2) Also interactively, at intervals of a few days,
this records MailMessages and other files on a DVD.
    ...
    xorriso -for_backup \
    -dev /dev/sr0 \
    -assert_volid 'BOB.*' fatal \
    -volid BOB."$(date '+%Y.%m.%d.%H%M%S')" \
    -update_r . / \
    -commit \
    -toc -check_md5 failure -- \
    -eject all ;
