For me rsnapshot is ideal. It is an rsync-based filesystem snapshot
utility.

Features:
- full backups and incremental at same time (using hard-link)
- remote backup via ssh (and locally obviously)
- simple configuration

To install in devuan:
apt-get install rsnapshot
