I contacted Jaromil somewhere around August.
He was on vacation visiting his family. IIRC he mentioned that he will be
back in October start hacking on d:b again.
May be we will have something to play with till the end of the year.

In the end d:b shares similar problems as other distributions which more or
less depend on one person (e.g. Trisquel).

For those watching out for newer but free software it might be an option to
use vanilla Debian only with free repos plus the Linux Libre Kernel.

least newer PCs today play nicely with a USB stick as boot media.
