Yes.
OpenPrinting CUPS 2.4.2
Notorious Samsung/HP M2020W via USB, WiFi not enabled.
After a lot of hassle with the HP drivers, I installed CUPS and that was it.

I once had a problem (self inflicted) and the printer would not work.
Turns out that I had checked with [deborphan] and *discovered* that a
driver labeled [libcupsimage2:amd64] was not needed.
Right ... 8^°
Reinstalled it and things got back to normal.
With respect to debugging: go to the CUPS Administration tab on the
browser and be sure to check the box for [Save debugging information
for troubleshooting].
With respect to the HP LaserJet 1012 printer, a light read on the web
