Hi!

I see Debian FTP masters accepted Apt 3.1.6 into Debian Unstable, yet in
Devuan Ceres I see:

% LANG=en apt policy apt
apt:
  Installed: 3.0.3devuan1
  Candidate: 3.0.3devuan1
  Version table:
 *** 3.0.3devuan1 500
        500 http://de.deb.devuan.org/merged ceres/main amd64 Packages
        100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

Any particular reason for that difference or difficulty to deal with?

I am not overly concerned. This older Apt version works well enough for
me. But curious as to what may be at play here.

If you have any pointers, please share.
