In files under /etc/exim4, mainly exim4.conf.template. At least if you
are using exim4-daemon-light. That in turn is used to
generate /var/lib/exim4/config.autogenerated by default.

So the answer is probably /var/lib/exim4/config.autogenerated .

/usr/share/doc/exim4/README.Debian.gz
