Oh, Postfix uses Maildir format on my mail server.

It even uses Dovecot's LDA to actually store the mail within a maildir.
However it can also do that by itself. I use Dovecot's LDA cause then I
only have to setup authentication once. For IMAP/POP3 and SMTP AUTH.

But still Postfix is no IMAP/POP3 server, just SMTP.
