slitt@??? has been hosted on:

    pacificnet.net
    2099.com (I think)
    bluehost.com
    affordablehost.com
    futurequest.com
    shockhosting.com (currently)


In each case I moved the whole troubleshooters.com domain, and the
email came along for the ride. In each case, I made sure to do all
possible setup on the new server before switching the DNS. I don't
remember any serious problems. I think you're worrying too much about
bounced email and the like resulting from the switch.

If you haven't decided on a new provider yet, shockhosting.com is
remarkably good.
