I have long thought that Postfix would be a better default MTA for
Debian. I similarly uninstall Exim and replace it with Postfix on any
new install I might do. I am intrigued by someone's suggestion about
'dma' as an even leaner MTA for those who may not require the heavier
features of Postfix for example. I would not recommend qmail anymore as
it seems rather long of tooth.

Why Postfix over Exim? I don't recall, Exim pissed me off somehow long
ago, and Postfix has worked quite nicely ever since : -)
