The link I included mentions that users should update before Debian 13,
so, yes, you've got time to transition.

Same link states that ISC recommends the Kea package as a replacement
for servers. I don't run DHCP servers, only DHCP clients, so for me
that not a concern.

Note, DHCP clients typically keep running in the background so you might
think of them as a server of sorts but they don't dole out IP addresses.
These processes are just DCHP client *daemons*.
