Hi Didier,

You bring up two different points:

1) A matter of style (to mix or not to mix executables)

2) A matter of practicality (how bad is it to run a daemon that
includes piped executables).

#1 is moot if #2 precludes piping one program into another. So, to find
out about that, I'll talk to the authorities: The guys on the
supervision@??? list, where the biggest brains in the init
and process supervision industry hang out.
