Yes the mail solution will be also more emphasised when I include the P2P market point of view into the concept.
The structure can be used for a P2P Marketplace as well. I think I will adopt the paper and project name in the way that it is more generic and not only designed as a exchange.

Re: Funding
I have not thought about that part much yet and luckily with the devs I am in contact that topic seems also to be not important (yet).
I think I need to have first commitments to have a core team, then decide for the technology and architecture and then estimate the effort and costs.
There could be different funding models, I would prefer a crowdfunding or similar solution which is based on domocratic involvement.
One thing nearly sure is that the usage of the software will be free (no fees).
I am also in contact with a few investors but at the moment it is too early to make any move in that area…
