Debian stopped beeing a "limited fussing" distribution which you safely
could upgrade remotely with the etch realease with added udev.
Everything just stopped working, and it has been downhill since then.
The best time in debian was hamm to sarge.
To be honest, laptops and peoples expectations messes up a lot of
things, so everything isn't debians fault.
