Package: virt-manager
Version: 1:5.0.0-5
Architecture: amd64
When starting a Xen PV VM, virt-manager shows the message:
"This VM has no graphic display device".
This concerns the "Display VNC" driver.
This behavior started for all such VMs after the transition from
Devuan Daedalus to Devuan Excalibur. Before that, they worked fine.
The same error shows up on virt-viewer (vers: 11.0-3+b1) when running
the "naked" VM in qemu.
When switching in virt-manager
from "View -> Consoles -> Graphical Console VNC"
to "View -> Consoles -> Text Console 1"
the (just) text display works fine.
The other packages involved are:
xen (vers: 4.20.0+68-g35cb38b222-1),
libgtk-vnc-2.0-0 (vers: 1.5.0-1),
and
qemu (vers: 1:10.0.3+ds-0+deb13u1.
The kernel version is 6.12.48+deb13-amd64.
Besides a fix, any hint for a temporary solution to get a
"Graphical Console" would be welcome, too.
