Well, we'd then need to personally work to download each video we wish to
use. I can and have done that before with websites, but it's very very
tedious and time consuming.

Also, recall that ad blockers are being constantly worked against by
these companies. Facebook being a notable case, where it literally took
weeks for ad block plus team to fix their ad blocker on that site.
