That's my point. Your data is commingled with your config and your
disk-consuming cache files. One workaround would be for all your data
to be in or under /home/antony/data. In that case, /home/antony would
contain a bunch of dot files, a ./config directory, a ./cache ./bin
directory, and perhaps a few other directories. Under these
circumstances backup, restore, archive, major OS upgrades, and moves to
other hardware could be done intelligently, without interfering with
the customary directories.
