I hit sending the mail prematurely. As my measurements have shown, xterm
seems to beat Zutty on rendering speed.

But of course if you take into account the rendering quality and consider
font anti aliasing to be a quality improvement:

Zutty and Konsole do anti aliasing, xterm does not.
