Hello,

Maybe you guys (in particular, SteveT and Tom) forgot that many
of the best developers have some weird character traits.

For example, The entire reason XEmacs exists appears to be because, after
trying for years to get funding for FLOSS, Rich Stallmen stalled on his
work to improve Emacs thus necessitating the fork.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/XEmacs

Eric S. Raymond seems hellbent on "opensource" having been invented by
Christine Peterson despite evidence to the contrary.
https://rumble.com/v6me7vo-eric-raymond-and-lunduke-argue-about-the-origin-of-open-source.html

And those are just the few examples I have stumbled upon and still
remember...

Regarding Mr. Weigelt's comments about COVID, that was a very common
oversimplification of how the mRNA vaccienes worked.

The longer story, for (Mr. Weigelt's benifit), and I did read actual
papers and doctor's comments on this, is that the vaccine triggers your
cells to produce the spike protein much like the virus would trigger your
cells to produce more virus.
Thus, some of your cells don't act like normal human cells while the
vaccine is present in your system (and the same would be true if the
virus was present in your system). So you don't become a new species, you
don't have your DNA rewritten, you still have 46 chromosomes, etc.
I'd cite all of this, but my filesystem is a mess AND this is just the
simple and concise version. It's really a deep "rabbit hole".

Sincerely,
David
