Haven't touched GNOME since they moved from version 2 to version 3.

Given their history and support for systemd, I'd be all in favor of dropping GNOME from Devuan's list of Desktop Environment offerings. Will anyone miss them?

I personally agree with the preceding sentence. But maybe, more to the
point, we can have an unofficial poll to see how many Devuan users
regularly use Gnome as a desktop environment.
