Worse than a bug. A blown install is a crime. If the "error" of
checking the box without selecting from the choices crashes the
install, that "error" should be handled gracefully, or else the box
should be removed.
One of the big reasons I didn't choose Gentoo or Funtoo in 2015 when
running away from systemd is because you could spend hours on the
install, and then, last step, get your kernel config wrong, and blow
the install. Sure, there's some way you can rescue-disk back in, play
the mount shuffle game, and correct stuff (if you know enough about the
kernel), but my time's too important.
