The only one that comes to mind now is that absolutely no one
involved in IT or Linux should be in any way surprised.

Neither am I.
It was, many years ago, *hate at first sight* for me.

I have just one Gnome application, quite useful but not essential to
me: gnome-disk-utility 43.0

The day it stops working, I'll just get rid of it.

I'd say so.

I run on XFCE and I'm rather fed up with it.
Seriously considering going full tilt on Openbox, like #! Waldorf was
right before Philip Newborough quit.
