Ah! This reminds me one of the reasons why I dropped KDE, near 20
years ago: it was when they came with KDE-3, I think, which introduced
these cookie-like buttons in the corners or the screen, which where
supposed to be used for "activities". They were pretty ugly and took a
significant part of the screen and I couldn't make sense of them. This
came in addition to my dislike of the concept of integrated-desktop,
which KDE was pushing the stronger. I switched to Gnome then, but I have
abandonned this one also long ago. I'm not really interested in these
"activities" but, if you like them, then I'm happy that you enjoy; this,
together with the multiplicity of answers to this thread is what free
software make possible.
