I use radicale. I don't think it can integrate directly with e-mail on
the server; in my setup I transfer things client-side (mutt+khal).

I looked over several other caldav/carddav servers, and my main reason
for not choosing them was their handling of accounts and permissions. As
in (at the time, at least): radicale was the only one which allowed
login by multiple accounts with separate access rights.
