Given the context of our exchange of ideas, I can think of no other
suitable one.

ie: not *advance*, as in the direction MS/IBM/RH is steadily heading
regarding the demise of Debian et al but an *improved/more develped*
state, which is what Devuan et al are in dire need of to be able to
survive.
