    I didn't notice this feature - or I don't remember. This kind of
directory to put optional files, like executable scripts or additional
configuration options (eg /etc/apt/sources.list.d) is usefull to prevent
the main file to become too hairy. But if tou need only few things in
/etc/rc.local, I don't thing it's worth the additional complication.
KISS should always be the guide (personal opinion).
