On the Ubuntu system, I'd run

    $ cat ~/.icons/default/index.theme

and/or

    $ /usr/share/icons/default/index.theme

to identify the hairy (SCNR;) cursor theme and then try to match it
against the output of

    $ apt-cache search cursor | grep theme

to get its package name.
