Dear Devuan developers and supporters,

I have tested the startup capability of Devuan images (embedded) for
Raspberry PI devices and want to inform you.

Test description
----------------
The Devuan images for Raspberry PI from
https://files.devuan.org/devuan_ascii/embedded/ and
https://files.devuan.org/devuan_jessie/embedded/ were testet in relation
to
startup of the operating system.
The image archive was extracted and written to an 4GB SD card.
The startup test was made for all downloadable images on following
(available) suitable Raspberry PI models:
- Raspberry PI 1 (2011,2012)
- Raspberry PI 2 B rev1.1 2014
- Raspberry PI 3 B rev1.2 2015
- Raspberry PI 3 B+ 2017

Test results (2018-11-21)
------------------------------
Devuan 2.0.0 (ascii) from image devuan_ascii_2.0.0_armhf_raspi2.img
don't
start on Raspberry PI 2 B rev1.1 2014.
Devuan 1.0.0 (jessie) from image devuan_jessie_1.0.0_arm64_raspi3.img
don't
start on Raspberry PI 3 B+ 2017.

I hope this was the right way to place this information.

I want to thank you all for supporting an stable, proven and (in my
view)
ideological independent Linux.

Yours sincerly

Alexander Schmidt
