Boiled down, this proposal seems to be to largely take what was in Jessie, upgrade it to the Stretch versions, and use forks of packages where the new version is too tainted by systemd (e.g., udev -> eudev.) I don’t think this is radical at all. It’s rather conservative and sensible, and gives us a chance to focus on improving infrastructure and release processes.

I’m in favor of it.
