These two things are related. Building a live iso with openrc using
live-sdk or live-build would be much easier if everything needed is in the
repository.

If you want to build a live iso with the debian live-installer, I
recommend that you start learning live-build. So far, trying to do it with
live-sdk has some major blockers. I've been working on that with Ozi and
now with Aitor. We should probably all meet in irc some time to discuss
this. Ozi is on the other side of the planet, so timing might be tricky.

I've used live-build in the past but never included the debian-installer.
I think I need to learn how to do that, and then maybe I can troubleshoot
the problems with doing it in live-sdk. Here's a link to the debian-live

If you've never used live-build, you might want to look at a howto I wrote
a few years ago. Some of the lb_config options have changed, but this will
give you a basic picture of the process in only one page of reading.
