Yes, this is a problem, and if hetzner is long term a better provider,
then I agree it is a compelling factor. How do they compare on features
and pricing and specs

One thing to consider is it appears that hetzner seem to be quick to
react and shutdown politically affiliated sites... see
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hetzner. If there is merit in those
stories, then we'd do well to avoid them.
