I havn't looked at democratic confederalism.

But from your OP Amir, I have to agree with one over arching point you
touched on which is the willingness to leverage the existence of statism
and state power for the sake of the ideals.

While this touches disturbingly close to the classic "ends don't justify
the means", never the less there remains one unavoidable problem. Statism
as a power structure remains undefeated. As arguably the greatest evil
society has had to face, no ideological system has been able to defeat it
and really achieve sovereignty from it.

It gets worse. take for example Bitcoin's proof of work technological race.
Where the more hashing power you have the more btc you get, thus the more
the difficulty rises and so more investment needs to go into hashing power,
to get more btc etc. This technocratic security race is very similar to
that of the nuclear arms race. Where there's an incentive loop to have
major shares of the current power infrastructure.

This reality of state power means that in order to maintain sovereignty in
a new system, that system needs to be able to survive or atleast
effectively deter aggression from state systems. At which point it becomes
a question of imidiate self defense.

Alternative societal systems that can not defend from the military might of
bigger nations are left with one option, diplomacy. And that means playing
the political game.

In other words, leveraging state power of other nations or one's own to
increase the costs of having one's sovereignty attacked.

Which results in an interesting supporting argument for the practical use
of state power (particularly hostile state's power) for the self defense
interests of the preferred society.

certain conditions have to be in place though, for such use of state power
to make ethical sense though. And those conditions need to be strong,
otherwise we fall pray to a slippery slope fallacy and end up becoming that
which we despise.

deterring threats to our sovereignty would be one of if not the one ideal
that would be a guiding light in this gray zone political arms race. That
and the rejection of imperialist means and ideals as legitimate ways to
grow.

Also when it comes to basic democracy, you end up with the age old problem
of the masses being capable of taking away the freedoms of the minority.
That's not a good place to be in, specially as intellectual pioneers. Nor
is it something that has legitimate moral merit unless it is truely opt in.

Proof of stake style democratic voting systems make more sense in this
regard. Since wealth has the potential to be be proof of long term
thinking, intelligence and certain amount of wisdom. unlike the accident of
birth which dominates basic one person one vote democracies.
