Anarchism is not a vacuum of power. It is a society with a strong civic
fabric not an administrative apparatus. But we have nations based on
states with strong systems of law which act against the emergence of an
anarchist society like a parasite on society.

Trump is a harnessing of these energies that manifested years ago in
directionless movements that dissipated but for increasing his power. He
is a classic strong man with a salesman rhetoric. Come on do you think
Trump has a philosophy? It's great because he's overturning old power,
but at the same time it's also a controlled opposition for something
deeper, that could be more meaningful. Trump is not going to oppose the
state but reshape or remake the state, possibly along less globalist
lines but more hawkish and authoritarian.

So it's a moment for people to find their stake in the cracks and
establish new movements, but also know this is a proto-fascist at work.

Look at 2 movements:

Liberals from Facebook swarmed into Tahrir square in Egypt and toppled
the government. Then they didn't have a plan, and no vision. It was the
islamists that had an ideology and a plan. They ended up taking the
country over, and then these same liberals begged the army to take power
again.

In Syria, guerillas came and organized the society along ideas of
Democratic Confederalism, organizing civil society and creating self
defense forces. They had a plan and managed to resist against the
islamists, and are making a revolution.

Overall the middle east is worse off than before the Arab spring, but if
it hadn't of happened then Rojava would not now exist. Because of that
history was allowed to evolve despite the terrible loss of life. It was
however something a long time coming. We cannot maintain a stable
unchanging world. It just isn't healthy to have a static political order
based on a rationalist anti-life philosophy.
