It was more than that. Someone believed that "this program is writted in
Ada and thus is perfect", and so software errors are unpossible, thus any
exception implies a hardware error. For hardware errors, they had a second
identical computer, and on both, any exception, no matter how trivial, by
their policy was intentionally uncaught and forced a shutdown (not a
restart) of the computer. Both computers ran the same program on the same
data...
