I suspect you're asking for three lists:

1) Desktops that work without needing dbus, which has been taken over
by systemd.
2) Desktops requiring significant systemd-provided software with a
non-systemd PID1.
3) Desktops heavily encumbered with systemdisms but still manage to
work to some extent with a non-systemd PID1.
