Since the first days of using GNU/Linux around a decade ago, I used a
desktop that mimics Windows 9* and Windows 2000. At first, it was KDE,
but since around five years ago, KDE started to get bloated with
unwelcome additions like nepumuk and automatic file indexing which
took too much of my CPU's power for me to feel comfortable with them.
At those times, I used to look for workarounds to disable the new
features that were ruining my KDE experience. Then, I found XFCE and
LXDE but I settled on XFCE which I found flexible and easy to use.

If Devuan fails to package XFCE it will be a blow for me as window
managers are not suitable for my eyesight. They take ages to configure
- something that I cannot do when fonts are too small to read without
damaging eye fatigue.

I found window managers' default font sizes terribly small that often
resulted into burning eyes after a few minutes of reading. This means,
they are out of question for me.
