I know a few projects do, but they are at least isolated. What did the developer say afterwards?

But what happens when one has to fork everything from Firefox to Enkive
to Hadoop to Tryton?

I've forgotten what I installed, but it was SystemD only, and the
developer had no idea that it required SystemD.
