Should be a typo. On my Gentoo there exists sg_map, part of /sg3_utils.

hafi@i5_64 ~ $ sg_map -x -i
/dev/sg0 2 0 1 0 5 /dev/sr0 HL-DT-ST DVDROM DH18NS40 1.01
/dev/sg1 3 0 0 0 5 /dev/sr1 HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GH22NS50 TN03
/dev/sg2 3 0 1 0 0 /dev/sda ATA SAMSUNG HD103UJ 1118
/dev/sg3 4 0 0 0 0 /dev/sdb ATA SAMSUNG HD103UJ 1118
