This really needs a well-thought out rebuttal

There is a serious problem with the claim:
"Such a (autonomous car) accident can be analyzed, solved, and future-proofed
by engineers to make self-driving fleets even safer, while our collective lack
of driving skill cannot.

Really. So where is the public analysis of the 'unintended acceleration'
*software bug* that killed a few people? The problem is that each and every
one of us can improve our collective lack of driving skills, but only one
of 2 or 3 multinational companies that have meet the 'government standards'
for self driving will actually be able to analyze, solve, and future-proof
algorithms and controls for autonomous AI autos.
