    Is there a need to rush this symbolic piece of the
project?

    There can always be the announcement of a new
name and/or a logo further down the road - when the
substance of the project has been completed.

Such may even have a strategic value when the buzz
has died down some and there's a value to drawing
a little new attention.

    Also, the long-term leadership and most-committed team
are yet to be clarified fully - not to mention early adopters -
all of whom really should have an opportunity to participate
in a permanent new name (if the development name "Devuan"
is not maintained) & in selecting a logo.

    The project name "Devuan" is already out there.

For now perhaps our energies are better spent telling the
story of "why" out there and encouraging others to join in
the effort.
