Hmmmmm interesting,

+ Increasing consumers/citizens access to funds give beneficial insights
for economic analysis.
Good attempt at "tightening ship." They want to count every penny.

+I had no idea Ecuador used USD. That doesn't seem like something they'd be
too proud of.
So I think they brainstormed a way to stop using USD as the digital
currency's value/availability will be based on demand. Not contracts with
the Federal Reserve.

Smart move by Ecuador

I'm biased towards U.S. currency but it sounds like they don't want our
money.
I would expect them to embrace crypto currencies soon.

Hooray for technology!
