Is there a test server available? Currently I'm using my own desktop as the
test platform. I can install discourse to a test server given a few hours
and your friend can configure the backups.
We should also discuss how discourse will be installed in the test
environment for subsequent deployment to production. I'm using the
supported basic install to a VM. This has the advantage of snapshots and
quick rebuilds. Another option is a manual installation of the components;
Ruby, PostgreSQL, Redis, mail server, etc.
