To be fair, I (as the creator of BitShares) do not support any regulation and opposed that particular language in the press release. My primary goal is to show that the systems already self-regulate without the need for rules or laws. I do not believe in asking regulators for permission and generally prefer to just ignore them.

You will never find me supporting any rule making for others.  What I don't want is the government to misinterpret what we are doing in a way that could get developers in trouble.
