Maybe this goes without saying for this audience and/or is completely
tangent to your point here, but I believe more and more of late that
economic structures don't lie even close to the root of our troubles.
I'm all in favor of strategies that challenge the existing structures,
though, force them to eat themselves, deligitimize and circumvent them,
and I've now devoted years of work to just those things.
Near the root of things I find the old anarchist spectre: unjust
authority. But a spectre is merely a shadow.
At the root, I find, lies a culture of obedience to effectively
arbitrary authority. A resilient, peer-to-peer memosystem that works
tirelessly to shut down dissent and to deny even the possibility of
self-determination at the individual-family-neighborhood scale,
channelling and subverting those energies instead into blind worship of
church, state, nation, culture, religion, corporation, etc., along with
fetishistic display of whatever totems apply and the ultimate directives
to "pass it on" and "crucify the heretic". Just go fart loudly in a
temple or yell "football sucks" as spectators pour out of a stadium to
see this principle on display.

in "stateless economy" or "free market" then we better put the pressure
on the consumer -the person- (its just ppl prefer to blame someone else).
