thanks. after *quick* testing on freej, my comments:

- sigmoidal transfer = works OK
- colorize = works OK
- colorhalftone = very slow, picture disappears
- rgbnoise = very slow
- softglow = crashes when activated

very slow also means that my (rather cheap) computer slows down to the
point I can barely interact further with the filter, so I'm not sure if
tweaking parameters the result gets better.

I'm sorry I cannot include gdb output of the softglow crash just yet.

Also be warned I'm not updating freej since quite some time and it might
not be the most reliable platform to test as of today, looking forward
to more test results on other software.
